This year’s Penfro Book Festival programme is beginning to take shape.
The festival kicks off on Friday October 11 with a bilingual words and music event based on Idris Davies’ poem The Bells of Rhymney.
Saturday will see an eclectic line up of workshops ranging from poetry to prose plus the announcement of the poetry competition winner.
Saturday night sees an innovative event – Strictly with Stories – a mix of dance, music, food and stories. Sure to be a sellout!
Sunday the pace carries on with a varied range of interesting talks by writers. Watch this space for the final line up!
Rhosygilwen cafe will be offering the usual delicious Sunday lunch offerings and the festival comes to a finale with the radio drama competition results performed by professional actors plus the winners of the short story competition.
Tickets will be available later this summer on the website.
Re Strictly Stories on Saturday, I can’t see that it is in the Programme for Saturday. I wonder if it is available to book yet?
Thank you.
Jean
